As Principal of LVD Advisors, Louis brings more than 40 years of expertise in leading companies through strategic processes that drive proven growth in profits and cash flow, as well as enhancing their business enterprise value.

Since beginning his career at Price Waterhouse & Co in Houston, Louis went on to serve in various executive level roles across businesses with local, regional and national operations. Louis is equally comfortable with the responsibilities and requirements of the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Operations Officer position, which are commonly a combined role in closely held companies. His career encompasses broad experience in financial management, business planning, executing business strategies, starting new businesses, and expanding existing business operations. Additionally, Louis has played a leadership role in creating and executing ownership succession strategies and the process of transferring business ownership.

Over the course of his career Louis has been directly accountable for many different facets of a business including financial management and reporting, human resource management, plant maintenance, production operations, logistics, corporate and employee insurance programs, business strategic planning, creating and maintaining forward-looking financial models, designing management information reports, writing business plans and offering memorandums, creating and implementing employee incentive programs, planning and executing ownership succession strategies, and managing systems of internal controls. He has also served a lead role in a number of business startup situations and is familiar with all that is involved to go from an “idea” to a viable business enterprise.

His diversified background includes industries ranging from automotive / trucking / transportation, oil and gas, manufacturing / warehousing / distribution, food production / food safety, and financial services.

Louis earned his B.S. Degree in Accounting at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1971, after graduating from St. Thomas High School in Houston, Texas in 1967. Louis is a native Houstonian.


Louis maintained his membership in the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants from 1973 through 1988 when he moved to Louisiana; became a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) in 2009; served on the Board of Directors of the Houston Strategic Forum from 2006 through 2009; served on the Board of Directors of ChildBuilders, a non-profit organization, from 2006 through 2014, serving as the Board President for 1.5 years and was awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2012. Louis has actively served on committees of the Italian Cultural and Community Center, The Italian Festival, and Sacred Heart Society of Little York.
